Because of the increasing importance of personnel training in the promotion of city government business, the Department of Civil Servant Development actively promotes the e-Training Services Program. This involves re-engineering processes and using information technology to enhance the training efficiency of Taipei City Government civil servants. Such an approach enables colleagues to better promote municipal construction work, provide better quality public services and realize the vision of Taipei as a “livable and sustainable city.” In 2017, the department submitted the results of its program under the title “Creating e-Training Services – Real World Training in Information Management Systems 2.0,” as part of the 2017 Taipei City Government Innovative Proposals Competition for which it won third place in the “Inter-disciplinary Cooperation Category.”
